Privacy is important, especially at an online community in which members are free to share personal information with others. Members’ safety is our highest concern. In this Privacy Policy we state the personal information that is collected, how it is protected, and we give some safety tips for all visitors.

Personal Information
• The only personal information we ask for is a legitimate email address. This is provided when a member first registers at mkPLANET.
• Many areas of the website do not require membership, and therefore do not require the visitor to share an email address.
• Areas of the website restricted to registered members include the Forums, Photo and Art Gallery, Members List, Member Journals, Profiles, and Chat. This prevents existing members’ information from being available to anyone other than registered members.
• mkPLANET does not provide your information to anyone without your prior permission, except in the following circumstances:
o We are required by law to do so.
o We suspect a possible violation of the law, or of another member’s rights or safety.
• mkPLANET has attempted to take precautions to protect members’ information from unauthorized access, alteration, sharing, or removal.

Changing Your Information
• Every member is able to access and alter their own information by clicking “Your Account” followed by “Your Information”. Only Admin can change a member’s id, or delete a member’s account, which members can request at any time by sending an email to: dana@mkplanet.com.

Anonymous Information
• As most websites do, we gather a small amount of anonymous information using cookies. This information consists of the computer’s IP address, browser, and the date of each visit to the site.

Links On mkPLANET’s Pages
• The website links we may provide at mkPLANET set their own policies, and these policies are not under the control of mkPLANET.
• mkPLANET does not endorse any of the websites we link to, nor does mkPLANET endorse the content that is posted from external sources.

Online Safety: Children and Teenagers
• Children or teenagers under 16 wishing to participate at mkPLANET or any online community are urged to talk with their parents, legal guardians, or in the case of students at boarding school, dorm parents or school counselors before doing so.

Online Safety: Everyone
• Everyone is urged not to publish last names, locations, the name of your school (in the case of students), phone numbers, addresses, passwords, or any other personally identifying information.

Changes to this Policy
• This Privacy Policy may change at a future date. All versions of the policy will be available to visitors at any time. In the event that a major change to this policy is required, a notice will be posted on the community homepage.
